Playoff Win Counter and Avalanche Round Advance

For the 2026 Playoffs I was tasked with creating a Win Counter that would go LIVE on social platforms after each playoff game won by the Colorado Avalanche. Along with the Win Counter, an Avalanche animation graphic would burry the opposing team to signal the AVS advancement to the next round. My inspiration for the Win Counter came from when the players throw the pucks as they skate unto the ice right before every game.

Modeled and animated in Cinema 4D. Utilizing the new cloner system, I used the Cannonball Distribution to recreate the puck pyramid set before each game. I designed the game puck in Illustrator to show each game/round information and then brought that into Cinema to place on the pucks. I placed Collider and Rigid body tags on the puck pyramid and a rolling ball to simulate a puck slam. The slow motion effect was achieved by adjusting the Time Scale in the project settings. In After Effects, I used the rotoscope tool to separate the puck from the background and add the glowing effect. I used the Pyro system to simulate an Avalanche coming down the mountains for the round advance graphics.
